Did anyone else notice that the actor now playing the role of Mr. W is the
same one that played the character who shot Wild Bill? Minus the drooped
eye of course.

Wow, I never noticed his ears!! Maybe because he wore hat as Jack McCall.
In his picture as Mr. W, he looks more suited to be in Lord of the Rings as
a hobbit, or maybe in Star Trek as Mr Spock.

Ok...so we have the borg queen as a hooker and now spock as a cowboy.

He has taken on the role of the "red shirt guy" on star trek. I think Milch
should bring him back every week to be killed.

then we can play where's waldo trying to find him before he gets killed.

Gee, I thought that looked like him, too, but I thought perhaps I was
getting delusional by that point.

They look a little alike but it's not the same guy.

They look more than a little alike, and it is once again Garret Dillahunt.
Maybe Garret should have his own thread here so we can keep track of all his
roles?

I wish they would give Robin Weigert a crack at a couple small roles too,
besides Jane. That would be fun.

It can't be him. He's too short, the shape of the nose is wrong and the
brow is different. Look closely when Crop Ear is bleeding out on the
floor at the Gem and then at Wolcott when Carrie is dry humping him.

... well I can't believe I spent a whole fucking hour tracking this down
but I did. Garrett Dillahunt does not play Crop Ear!

There is a resemblance, but it's definitely not him. The name "Jeff
Cahill" is in the closing credits and while there's no picture of him at
IMDB, I did find this picture that I thought looks like him:

There's a resemblance there too, but the guy in the picture looks older.

Ultimately the picture doesn't matter because there is other
unmistakable proof that Crop Ear is played by an actor named "Jeff
Cahill". Beyond a reasonable doubt I think.

Here's a link to a March 21, 2005 article by Chicago Sun-Times columnist
Bill Zwecker on the CBS Chicago website (channel 2) that settles it once
and for all:

http://cbs2chicago.com/zwecker/local_story_079184742.html

Go down 2/3 of the page and look in the TV Talk section. It even
mentions his parents names and the restaurant they work at in Deerfield,
Illinois if anyone wants to call them up to confirm it.

I'm saving a copy of the article because people will be asking this
question for years now. It really DOES look a lot like Dillahunt.
Sounds like his voice too!

We may be watching the making of a great character actor.

Giselle (he certainly seems to pull off the roles with enough difference to
fool lots of folks)
